Extraordinary Alien was founded by Timothy Hautekiet, a filmmaker with over a decade of experience as a director, producer and writer.
Timothy was an early adopter on YouTube. After successfully building an audience in the early 2010s, he went on to study at the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program under the mentorship of the late Lawrence Turman, the legendary producer behind The Graduate, American History X and The Thing.

He first came up with the name for the company when he had to prove he was an "alien of extraordinary ability" in order to secure the necessary visa to continue his career in Los Angeles post graduation.

Timothy spent the subsequent decade pursuing his passion for telling great stories and connecting with audiences, no matter where they live. Some career highlights include achieving over 100 million views for Funny or Die with "How To Get Out of a Speeding Ticket", winning a directing competition organized by Sony Pictures where his short was personally selected by Searching director Aneesh Chaganty, and the completion of his first feature as a director "Me, Myself & The Void" which was spotlighted by The New York Times upon it's streaming release in October 2024.
